Mike Richards removed as executive producer of ‘Jeopardy!’

First Published:

Mike Richards has been removed as executive producer of “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune.”

The decision comes less than two weeks after he stepped down as the show’s new host.

Richards was ousted as host after past misogynistic and disparaging comments he made were discovered.

The episodes Richards taped during his short stint as host are set to air when the show returns for its 38th season on September 13.

According to a memo by Sony, executives had hoped the decision to remove Richards as host would have “minimized the disruption and internal difficulties” the shows experienced but it did not.
