Family and friends are remembering the victims of a weekend crash in Milton, saying they are heartbroken over what happened.
Several people gathered on Monday where the crash happened at Derry Road and Sixth Line to honour their loved ones.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for one victim, and so far more than $100,000 has been raised.
Several co-workers and friends of 26-year-old Mousawar Ahmed from Milton were in shock after finding out about the fatal crash.
“It took a minute for it to all sink in and I took a drive to clear my head and right before I started my car, I just started balling my eyes out just out of nowhere… memories and emotion just snuck up on me. I love that guy, man” Ahmed’s friend Victor said.
“From the moment I met him, I knew he was just such a pure soul.”
Co-workers say Ahmed was on his way to work when the crash happened. He was a screening officer at Toronto Pearson Airport, and they say he was always ambitious.
“Everytime you meet this guy, he would tell you about his plans and he always had new plans when you meet him. And he’d push you forward on your plans and he’d catch up with you, ask you how your plans are going,” Victor said.

CHCH News obtained surveillance footage of the crash from a nearby neighbour.
It shows Ahmed stopped at a red light, when his car was struck from behind by a vehicle that showed no sign of slowing down.
Halton police confirmed that Ahmed was the lone occupant of the Honda CRV.
“He was a very hardworking guy, actually, he was 26. He was supporting his family… helping around,” Arwa Amir said.
A family friend, Arwa Amir, started a GoFundMe to support Ahmed’s family. She says Ahmed was the sole earner of his household. The fundraiser has garnered over $100,000 so far.
“That was the eldest son, the mom isn’t in the best condition, the sister is very strong. Like only if I could give a million awards to her I would.”
Ahmed left behind two younger siblings and his single mother.

Ahmed was one of three people killed in the crash. Police say an 18-year-old man from Milton was in the other vehicle with a 16-year-old girl from Brampton.
Friends say the girl’s name was Emma, and they say they will miss her very much.
“We used to like text every morning and now I’m just like waiting on that expected text and it’s not there and it hurts,” Marissa Wilson said.
“She was just so amazing as a person, like she was always there for everybody else.”
Police say the investigation surrounding the cause of the crash is ongoing.
