How to reduce stress this holiday season as a mom

Looking forward to a stress-free holiday? Lifestyle expert Melissa Lamb – a soon to be mom of two – has a few hacks to lighten the load.

Lamb says moms should be starting their baking and stocking their pantry right now. She recommends baking goods like cookies because you can put them in the freezer and they will still be good later. 

“I also like to stuff my pantry with non-alcoholic options for the holiday season because not everybody wants an alcoholic cocktail,” said Lamb.  

She recommends a company called Sobrii that makes non-alcoholic spirits such as gin and tequila. There are no calories and no sugar. 

Lamb says ambiance is important for the holiday season. Although she says she has an artificial tree, it still smells like pine in her house because of Nest Fragrance Candles. The scents also come in reed-diffusers. 

“I set it right in front of our tree so it gives the ambiance like we have a real tree, but it’s just artificial and it smells so good,” said Lamb. 

She says it is nice to take a break, and what better than having a coffee. She recommends the Nespresso Vertuo, made by designer Johanna Ortiz. It is sleek, matte black with a rose gold emblem.

Lamb says another way to reduce stress is with Wine Club. It is Canada’s most popular wine club.
