Horrible Bosses 2

Horrible Bosses 2 is the sequel to 2011’s Horrible Bosses directed by Sean Anders (That’s My Boy). The main trio of actors – Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis – all return and are joined once again by Jennifer Aniston and Jamie Foxx. Chris Pine and Christoph Waltz join the cast as a father and son that are targeted by the unemployed group.

Fed up with answering to higher-ups, Nick (Bateman), Dale (Day) and Kurt (Sudeikis) decide to become their own bosses by launching their own business. But a slick investor soon pulls the rug out from under them. Outplayed and desperate, and with no legal recourse, the three would-be entrepreneurs hatch a misguided plan to kidnap the investor’s adult son and ransom him to regain control of their company.

Working with such a comically talented cast, Sean Anders’ directing job was pretty easy. “We spent a lot of time working on the script in the month or two before shooting and then, on the day, we’d talk about the scene and come up with different ideas. We’d get a take or two that was more-or-less on script, and then we’d open it up and let the guys go nuts, and that’s where some of the funniest moments came from. Sometimes my job was to watch the fireworks go off and hone in on the best stuff, because there was so much of it.”

Horrible Bosses 2 is rated 18A.
