Homicide unit investigates after missing Fort Erie man found dead

Niagara police are investigating a homicide after the body of a missing man was found in Fort Erie Wednesday afternoon.

Officers say Desmond Teague, 74, was last seen at 7 a.m. on Sept. 28 in the area of Forsythe and Archange streets.

Just one week later, investigators responded to 32 Idlewylde St. in Fort Erie for a report of found human remains.

Police identified the remains as those of Teague’s.

Anyone with information regarding the disappearance of Teague or suspicious activity near Idlewylde St. is asked to contact detectives at 905 688 4111, option three, ext. 1009132.
