Homeowner awakes to find stranger in bedroom: OPP

Ontario Provincial Police is investigating after a homeowner in Norfolk County awoke to find a stranger in their bedroom.

Officers responded to reports of a break and enter at a home on Kent St. South in Simcoe shortly before 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Police learned a homeowner woke up to find an unknown man in their bedroom holding a flashlight. The homeowner yelled at the man who then fled from the home through the back door.

He is described as being white, in his early 20s, “clean cut” and was carrying a large backpack.

Police are asking anyone with information that could help with the investigation to contact 1-888-310-1122.
