Hold-and-secure lifted at Hamilton’s Central Elementary School

A hold-and-secure has been lifted at an elementary school in Hamilton’s Durand neighbourhood after police carried out a search warrant nearby.

Police said in a social media post around 1:30 p.m. that Central Elementary School was put in a hold-and-secure as a precaution.

Officers say they safely executed the search warrant and lifted the hold-and-secure shortly after 3 p.m.

Police did not immediately specify what they are investigating.
