Hamilton school closures due to winter storm

First Published:

While the storm system that passed over Hamilton yesterday didn’t produce as much snow as first predicted, it did have an impact on schools in our area.

The storm dumped around 17 centimetres of ice and snow on the city of Hamilton overnight.

Hamilton’s Public School Board announced closures on Twitter this morning, “Road conditions for side streets are snow-covered and icy. Buses are not running. As such, schools, childcare centres, and administrative buildings are closed.”

Meanwhile, the Catholic District School Board remained open.
