Hamilton reporting four new COVID-19 outbreaks

The City of Hamilton reported four new COVID-19 outbreaks on Wednesday, including long-term care centres and various workplaces.

The latest outbreaks were reported at:

  • St. Joseph’s Villa, one staff case
  • ArcelorMittal East End, two staff cases
  • Foot Locker – Lime Ridge Mall, two staff cases
  • Flynn Canada Ltd, two staff cases

The city, which reported 26 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, is now dealing with 14 active outbreaks.

The Radius restaurant outbreak is now at six staff cases, while 50 primary cases have been linked to SpinCo.

Macassa Lodge has two staff cases., while Kushies Baby reported three staff cases.

Meanwhile, there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 associated with Ancaster Sports Centre.

The venue says the case was linked to a private field rental on Oct. 16 between 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.

According to the city, all participants and spectators at this event have been identified as close contacts.

They’ve been asked to self-isolate and monitor for symptoms.
