Hamilton police seek suspicious driver who approached a lone child

Hamilton police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspicious vehicle that approached a 10-year-old child in Stoney creek.

Investigators say a dark grey or black sedan with tinted windows engaged in a conversation with the child who was alone in the area of Chilton Dr. around 1 p.m. on Dec. 27.

Officers say the child walked away from the suspicious vehicle and the car fled westbound on Chilton Dr.

The suspect is described as a white man, pale in complexion and around 50 to 60 years old.

The driver was last seen wearing a buttoned shirt.

Police ask anyone who can identify the suspect vehicle or have any information about this incident to contact Det. Amberlee Rodgers at 905-546-2919.
