Hamilton police seek suspect after armed robbery near Centre on Barton

Hamilton police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a male suspect in connection with an armed robbery near the Centre on Barton two weeks ago.

Officers say the incident happened at a business in the area of Barton St. East and Ottawa St. North shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 4.

According to investigators, the male demanded money from the lone employee while waving a firearm. He then ran eastbound on Barton St. East with an undisclosed amount of money.

The Caucasian male was last seen wearing a dark plaid jacket, black toque, black ski mask, black pants and brown work boots.

Police say no one was injured during the armed robbery.
