Hamilton police investigate after body found in water near Pier 8

Hamilton police say the investigation regarding a body that was found in the water near Pier 8 has been deemed non-suspicious.

Officers tell CHCH News that they responded around 8 a.m. Tuesday to a report of a body in Lake Ontario.

The marine unit attended the scene and the body was recovered out of the water.

Police have identified the deceased and completed their investigation.
