Hamilton launches new job board to fill critical front-line roles

The City of Hamilton has unveiled a new job posting website to combat a recruitment backlog that’s occurred as a result of the ongoing ransomware attack.

The previous job board platform has been down since February 25 after a cybersecurity incident ensnared most of the city’s cyber-based infrastructure.

Mayor Andrea Horwath says the ability to fill openinonce again fill city jobs and summer student roles is crucial for city operations.

As of Tuesday, the city has eight job postings on its new website.

They vary between corporate service positions and seasonal summer postings for students.
