Halton residents 80 and older can book vaccine appointments starting tomorrow

Halton residents aged 80 and older will be able to book an appointment to get a COVID-19 vaccine starting Wednesday.

Halton Region says booking will need to be done online but anyone who needs help can call 311.

Appointments will be available at clinic sites in Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills.

The region says it will provide free transportation options for eligible residents who require it.

The vaccination clinics are by-appointment only.

The region says it has administered 28,622 vaccine doses so far.

On Monday, the region reported 35 cases of COVID-19 for a total of 9,510 cases. There are 75 total variant cases and 251 active cases.
