Early morning shots fired at home in East Hamilton

There is a large police presence in an East Hamilton neighbourhood early Tuesday morning after reports of a shooting.

Hamilton police are investigating an early morning shooting in the Crown Point West area of Cannon St. East at Balmoral Ave. North just before 5 a.m.

Police say shots were fired at a home and people were inside but no one received any injuries.

Investigators believe that this was a targeted incident.

Residents are advised that officers will remain in the area as the investigation continues.
