Cyclists held a Ghost Ride in Burlington to honor a man killed just over a week ago when police say his bicycle was hit by a hit-and-run driver.
More than 50 riders set out from the Burlington GO Station, many of them from out of town, riders who came here to pay their respects to a fellow cyclist killed on the road.
On May 18th, 81-year-old Doug Fritz died in a hit-and-run.
A 41-year-old Toronto woman has been charged.
Today, bikers cycled past Fritz’s house, where his wife, daughter, and others were overcome with grief and grateful for the outpouring of support.
Cyclists say there have to be fundamental changes in people’s attitudes so there are no more ghost rides.
