Zellers stores to get Target-ed

If you’re a cross-border shopper, you may be happy with the news from the U.S.

Those Target stores with low prices and inexpensive fashions are headed north, taking over from a long-standing Canadian chain.

The Zellers brand won’t disappear completely. The Hudson’s Bay Company will keep about 60 locations. As for the 10,000 full time and 18,000 part time Zellers workers, Target’s president says they’ll be encouraged to apply for jobs at Target.
