Zelenskyy visits Washington to make the case for Ukraine aid

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy is in Washington today, pushing for more funding for his nation’s efforts to repel the Russian invasion.
It’s a critical week for the country as its president fights for much-needed military support, and its foreign minister makes the case for the European Union to begin membership talks with Ukraine.
In Washington, funding for the war is being debated by a divided congress, where some want more funding to address American security along the southern border before they would green light tens of billions in additional funding for the war against Russia.
