Your Home, Your Vote: AG report leak condemns G8 spending

It’s a political bombshell that could alter the course of the campaign.

A confidential draft report by Auditor General Sheila Fraser says the Harper government misinformed Parliament to win approval for $50 million, used to pay for projects to spruce up industry minister Tony Clement’s riding ahead of the G8 summit.
The report suggests the process may have been illegal. But the Conservatives say the final report is much different from the draft.
