The massive nationwide beef recall has expanded yet again – this time to more stores in B.C.
Even more products potentially contaminated with e.coli have been identified in British Columbia. The recall includes hundreds of products, including ground beef, steaks and other products of XL Foods.
The bacteria was first detected at the XL plant in Alberta back on September 4th, but it wasn’t until three weeks later that the government intervened.
So far eleven people have become sick because of beef products linked to the plant.
