Workplace inspection blitz in Halton until Friday

Provincial offence officers will be visiting businesses and a variety of workplaces throughout Halton region until Friday as part of the workplace inspection campaign.

Officers may issues tickets to businesses and patrons who are not adhering to measures part of the Reopening Ontario Act.

The provincial blitz is targeting a variety workplaces, this includes:

• retail establishments
• restaurants providing take-out
• essential service-sector establishments
• warehouse and storage facilities
• agricultural operations
• food production facilities
• construction and manufacturing operations

Provincial offence officers will be conducting inspections in areas with higher risks for transmission.

They will be enforcing compliance to capacity limits, physical distancing, masks and face coverings and having an accessible safety plan.
