Woman faces assault charges

A Hamilton woman is facing charges after a woman and her baby were threatened by someone waving a screwdriver.

It happened while they were walking on Stuart Street near Bay Street North in Hamilton.  Police say the suspect lunged at the child in her stroller, then walked away.  A man heard their screams and called police. 

46-year-old Elsa Abera has been charged with assault with a weapon.
