Woman dies after being hit by pickup truck in Ancaster Saturday

Hamilton police say that the woman who was struck by a pickup truck on Wilson Street West in Ancaster, Ont. Saturday evening has died from her injuries.

Officers say the collision happened at around 5:20 p.m. Saturday.

The 42-year-old female pedestrian was brought to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, according to authorities.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances that lead up to the fatal crash.

Police had Wilson Street West closed until just before midnight Saturday night while they investigated.
