Woman convicted of poisoning children released in Brampton area

Peel police have issued a public safety advisory after a woman convicted of poisoning children was released on Monday.
Christine Allen, 36, will be residing in the area of Charolais Blvd. in Brampton.
Allen was convicted of deliberately poisoning four young children in her care with a noxious substance, seriously harming one child.
Police believe Allen is at an elevated risk to re-offend and say they will be working together with Correctional Service Canada to monitor her activities within the community.
Allen has to abide by several conditions, including not being in the presence of any children under the age of 16, unless accompanied by a responsible adult approved by her parole supervisor.
Police are warning the public to use caution if they encounter Allen and parents should be cognizant of their children’s activities.
