Winners of annual Niagara Falls Sparkle Awards announced

Fifty homes were decked out in their holiday finest vying for a top spot in Niagara Falls’ jolliest event of the year, as nine winners were named in the annual Sparkle Awards.

The event is a free, outdoor, Holiday-themed decorating competition open to all Niagara Falls residents that awards prizes for Judge’s Favourite, Best Effects and the Fred Girardo Community Choice Award.

In the Judge’s Choice category, first place was claimed by 3948 St James Ave., followed by 8090 Woodsview Cres. in second and 7001 Concord Cres. coming up in third.

With over 800 votes cast, the Fred Girardo Community Choice Award saw slightly different results, with 8551 Milomir St. coming out on top. This winner would be trailed by 7373 Redhaven Cres. and the category was rounded out by 7936 Spring Blossom Dr.

In the final category of Best Effects, 6095 Arad St. saw a win, with 5394 Twidale Ave. coming up in second and 4120 Campbell Ave. grabbing the third place spot.
