Wiarton Willie predicts early spring

Ontario’s most famous and recognizable weather prognosticator, Wiaron Willie, did not see his shadow this morning.  According to lore, that means we’re going to experience an early spring. That was welcome news to the huge crowd that was on hand this morning for his annual appearance. Despite the mild temperatures and gentle snowfall, when it comes to
February 2nd, lots of people are fed-up. Not so, says Nova Scotia’s Shubenacadie Sam who is predicting six more weeks of winter.
