Whitehead complains to CBSC

Hamilton Mountain Councilor Terry Whitehead has filed a complaint with the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council (CBSC) against CHML radio.

Whitehead says the station gives Hamilton Mayor Bob Bratina, who is a former CHML broadcaster, full access to discuss his views in lengthy interviews.

But Whitehead says whenever he attempts to get air time on the station, he’s cut short.

CHML’s General Manager says the station has been quote, “fair with Terry” and has spoken with him about his concerns.

The station also plans to submit a letter to the broadcast council this week to respond to Whitehead’s complaint.
