It’s Labour Day Monday, and that means a number of closures in the region as many workers get a day off for the federal holiday.

All government offices and Canada Post depots are closed – as are public libraries, health administration offices and municipal service centres.

City animal shelters, recycling centres and recreation centres and arenas are closed, with the exception of outdoor pools.

CF Lime Ridge and Mapleview Centre will both be closed.

LCBOs, The Beer Store and most large shopping malls will re-open on Tuesday.

Hamilton and Burlington buses will operate on a Sunday schedule.

City garbage pick-up will be delayed one day for the rest of the week.
