What’s open and closed for the Civic Holiday

Here’s a look at what is open and closed in our region for the Civic Holiday.

OPEN

• Major grocery stores will be open with reduced hours
• Outdoor pools, splash pads and playgrounds
• Some Beer Store locations
• Malls including Lime Ridge Mall, Eastgate Square, The Pen Centre, Mapleview Centre and Outlet Collection at Niagara Falls
• Garden City Golf Course in St. Catharines

CLOSED

• Banks, government offices and post offices
• LCBOs
• All Hamilton museums will be closed on Monday August 3
• Hamilton’s Drive-Through COVID-19 Testing Centre at Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena will be closed
• All Hamilton Public Library locations are closed

Buses in Hamilton, Halton and Niagara will be running on a Sunday-holiday schedule. Welland and Fort Erie transit will not be running.

GO Transit is running on a Saturday schedule.

There will be no recycling or garbage pickup in Halton or Hamilton on Monday. Pick up will be one day later for the rest of the week.

There are no changes to garbage collection in Niagara
