What’s open and closed Family Day 2020

Here’s a look at what is open and closed today for Family Day.

OPEN TODAY

Several Hamilton museums and historic sites will be open, many of them offering special programming today including:

• Dundurn Castle
• Hamilton Children’s Museum
• Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum

Most recreation centres and arenas will run on modified schedules. Hamilton’s Central Library and Turner Park branch will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All other Hamilton Public Library locations will be closed.

HSR, Burlington Transit and the TTC will be on holiday schedules.

GO Transit is running on a Saturday schedule.

In Niagara, waste collection will run as usual.

CLOSED TODAY

Municipal and provincial government offices will be closed today.

In Hamilton, there will be no garbage, recycling or green bin collection. Pick-ups will be pushed back one day.

LBCO and beer stores will be closed today, along with banks and most malls.
