What’s closed Jan. 27 amid extreme cold weather in Hamilton, Halton and Niagara

Environment Canada says a period of very cold wind chills is expected for Hamilton, Halton and Niagara, as well as Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk counties, through Tuesday afternoon. Here’s a list of what’s closed due to extreme cold.

Hamilton

Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation schools and offices;

Haldimand-Norfolk

    • Grand Erie District School Board schools, administrative buildings and child-care facilities; For secondary students with exams scheduled today, further communication will be coming from principals.
    • Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board
    • ÉÉC Sainte-Marie Norfolk
    • Transportation is cancelled and schools are closed in Zone 1 Norfolk County, Zone 2 Haldimand County, Zone 3 Brant County and Zone 4 City of Brantford due to the inclement weather across our region.
    • Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board;
    • Haldimand Norfolk Community Senior Support Services
    •   Transportation is cancelled and schools are closed in Zone 1 Norfolk County, Zone 2 Haldimand County, Zone 3 Brant County and Zone 4 City of Brantford due to the inclement weather across our region.

Brantford and Brant County

      • Grand Erie District School Board schools, administrative buildings and child-care facilities; For secondary students with exams scheduled today, further communication will be coming from principals.
