Welland Canal Bridge 5 to close for several days amid maintenance

The Welland Canal will close Bridge 5 for the next few days while crews carry out road and bridge maintenance.

Also known as the Glendale Bridge, the closure is expected to last until March 13.

The bridges at Lakeshore Road, Queenston Street and Highway 20 will remain open during this time.

Bridge 3A (Carlton Street) will temporarily close on March 7 but will otherwise remain open.

The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation recommends bridge users monitor their website’s bridge status page for the most up-to-date information on their commutes.
