VIDEO: Canada’s premiers are scheduled to meet virtually at 1 p.m. to discuss health-care funding.

The meeting comes one month after talks with the federal government on the issue ended without an agreement.

The premiers have been calling on Ottawa to boost its share of health-care costs to 35 per cent and continue with this level of funding.

It also comes at a time when children’s hospitals across Canada are grappling with a surge in patients with respiratory illnesses.
