Walter Sendzik will not run for mayor of St. Catherines in October
Walter Sendzik will not be seeking a third term as mayor of St. Catharines in October’s municipal election.
Sendzik was born and raised in St. Catharines. He was first elected in 2014 as a first-time candidate for political office and was re-elected in 2018.
Before becoming mayor, Sendzik was Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce for seven years.
Ontario municipal council and school board elections will take place on Monday, Oct. 24.
