Vote to put casino in Hamilton

If a casino is ever built in Hamilton, city council prefers to use Flamboro Downs as the location.

It doesn’t mean a downtown casino is impossible, but it does mean the city will be looking for bids from operators looking to set up at the site of the current horse racing track. Council won’t have to make another decision on a proposed casino until the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation goes through the bids and picks a private operator. That could take a year or more.
