Video shows suspects stealing Hamilton man’s necklace in daylight distraction theft

Hamilton police are searching for three people accused of distracting a man outside his home before driving off with his jewelry.
Officers say the incident happened last Wednesday in the city’s east end near Main Street East and Parkdale Avenue West.
Police say the man was outside his home when he was approached by three people in a black Ford Explorer.
A female passenger started talking to him and pulled him by the neck toward the vehicle before placing a necklace on him.
Investigators say one of them then removed the victim’s gold necklace before driving away.

Police are now asking for the public’s help in identifying the two female passengers and male driver.
The first woman is described as being 40 years old with a large build, tan complexion and black hair tied back. She was wearing a red shirt at the time of the theft.
Officers say the other woman is approximately 30 years old with a thin build, tan complexion, and was wearing a black and white shirt.
The man driving the SUV is about 30 years old, bald and has a tan complexion.
