The Niagara Falls 6th Annual Spooky Awards have returned for 2025, offering residents a chance to win one of nine awards with their outdoor Halloween displays.
This year, nine awards will once again be given across three categories including: judges’ favourite, best effects and people’s choice — awards for first, second and third placing.
Each winner will receive a commemorative lawn sign, with the first place winners also getting a Spooky Awards trophy.
Last year, 60 homes had officially entered the competition.

Anyone interested in taking part in the competition needs to register online by Friday, Oct. 17, at 4 p.m.
Residents can take a tour through the city following a map containing the location of each registered display from Oct. 24 to 26, with displays lit nightly from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Public voting will run during that weekend.
More information on the rules and details of the competition can be found on the official website here.
