Victim of cottage fire identified

The victim of a fatal cottage fire in the Peterborough-area has been identified.

OPP say 53-year old Oakville resident Peter Girard was killed in the blaze, after it ripped through his summer residence in Selwyn township last week.

Police are working with the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office to investigate the cause of the fire, but no foul play is suspected.
