Vic + Flo Saw a Bear
A tragic comedy about two lesbian ex-cons and lovers, Vic and Flo who are trying, and failing to establish a normal, quiet life in rural Quebec after being released from prison. The film premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival earlier this year where it won the prestigious Alfred Bauer Silver Bear prize for opening new perspectives on cinematic art.
The film comes from celebrated Quebecois filmmaker Denis Côté and stars Pierrette Robitaille as Victoria, Romane Bohringer as Florence and Marc-André Grondin as their parole officer.
