U.S. records 250K deaths due to COVID-19

The United States has hit 250,000 COVID-19 deaths as the virus continues to spread.

Conditions inside hospitals are deteriorating as the number of patients has doubled in the past month and set new records every day this week.

Hospitals have converted parking garages, chapels and cafeterias waiting rooms into patient rooms and fatigue is setting in among medical workers.

Health experts warn it could get much worse in the weeks and months ahead.

The out-of-control surge is leading governors and mayors across the U.S. to issue mask mandates and limit the size of private and public gatherings ahead of Thanksgiving.

In some places, indoor restaurant dining has been banned, gyms closed and bars, stores and other businesses have limited capacity.
