Two suspects arrested after crash

Hamilton police have arrested two men they suspect were involved in several street robberies where people were robbed of jewelery and other valuables.

The pair was arrested late Tuesday night after they ran away from a two-vehicle crash at Green Road and King Street East in Stoney Creek.

It’s believed they were driving a GMC Jimmy and that would stop and ask people for directions before robbing the people they engaged in conversation.

Hamilton police were following the Jimmy before it collided with a Mercedes SUV.

The driver of the Merecedes was sent to hospital with undetermined injuries.
