Two people seriously injured following shooting in Mississauga

Peel Regional Police are investigating after two people were seriously injured in a shooting in Mississauga Monday night.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. at a townhouse complex in the area of Bristol Rd. West and Whitehorn Ave.

Police say a man and woman were found suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene and were taken to hospital in life-threatening condition.

The pair are reportedly both 20-years-old, with witnesses saying the woman was shot in the stomach and the man was shot in the head and leg.

The suspects remain outstanding and there is no description for them released at this time.

Police say this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
