Two men charged in relation to commercial robbery on Hamilton mountain

Hamilton police say two men have been charged in connection with a commercial robbery on Hamilton’s mountain.
On Tuesday, March 24, police say multiple suspects entered the Koodo/Telus mobile on Upper James Street.
Two of the men brandished firearms to the only employee in the store and demanded merchandise and cash.
Police say the employee was struck in the head during the incident and received minor injuries.
The suspects fled in an awaiting vehicle.
On Monday, March 28, Hamilton police assisted Peel Regional Police with the arrest of three robber subjects. They were located in Hamilton and one loaded firearm was recovered during their arrest. Police say this investigation provided information leading to the arrest of the two men in relation to the Koodo/Telus Upper James Street robbery.
Vashon Ward, 19, of Toronto and 20-year-old Justin Hicks of Welland were both arrested and charged with multiple offences.
Police say they both remain in custody and are continuing to investigate and seek additional suspects.
