Two men charged following vehicle, ATM thefts in Niagara region

Two men from Thorold have been arrested in connection with crimes involving a stolen vehicle and ATM thefts in the Niagara region.
Niagara police say a vehicle was stolen after an auto body shop in St. Catharines was broken into between the evening of Aug. 4, and the early morning of Aug. 5.
The vehicle was then subsequently used in a break and enter at a business in St. Catharines, where an ATM was taken.
A few days later the same stolen vehicle was used in another break and enter in the City of Thorold, where another ATM was taken.
Investigators were able to find and recover the stolen vehicle Monday.
Following a forensic examination, officers identified and arrested two suspects Wednesday.
Thomas Hann, 53, is facing charges including two counts of breaking and entering to commit theft over $5,000, and three counts of possessing property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Christopher Claus, 37, has been charged with possessing property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Both stolen ATMs were recovered following the arrests.
Officers had also executed a search warrant at a home in Thorold Wednesday, where they say they recovered offence-related property.
