Two killed in Caledonia bypass crash

Updated A woman and her young son are dead after a collision on the Highway 6 Caledonia Bypass.

OPP Constable Mark Foster told CHCH News that a 28 year old woman and her three year old son were killed when the SUV they were in – going northbound over the Grand River bridge – ended up in the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer. That led to a chain reaction involving five other vehicles.

The bypass is expected to be closed until at least 10 o’clock tonight, as emergency crews clear the wreckage from the scene.
