Two dead in Highway 406 head-on crash

Two people are dead as the result of a head-on crash on Highway 406 in St. Catharines.

OPP say just after 1 a.m. a vehicle entered the northbound lanes of Highway 406 going the wrong direction at Glendale Avenue. Both vehicles caught fire after the impact.

Two people were killed in the crash. The driver in the wrong way vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

There are no charges at this time but the investigation continues.
