Tuesday is Linc Day
People across the province will mark the very first Lincoln Alexander Day Tuesday. Last year, MPP’s voted to recognize Canada’s first black Member of Parliament and Lieutenant Governor of Ontario every January 21st, which is his birthdate. “Linc” died in 2012.
The City of Hamilton is organizing a celebration of life for Lincoln Alexander Tuesday. The public is invited to visit City Hall and share their memories in a book of remembrance. The book will be available between 12pm and 6pm and will be preserved in the City of Hamilton’s civic collection.
