A new twist has emerged in the controversy surrounding U.S. President Donald Trump’s connection to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The president says he is asking the Department of Justice to investigate Epstein’s ties to other high-profile figures, including some of his perceived political opponents. This comes after Trump himself faced scrutiny this week following the release of never-before-seen documents from Epstein’s estate that mention him by name numerous times.
