United States’ President Donald Trump brought up “51st state” talk again in Washington, D.C. today.

Trump was speaking about his ‘Golden Dome’ missile defence shield plans in front of military officials.

The American leader said that Canada called a few weeks ago to ask to be part of the defence program and he replied that the country should join the U.S. to “get it for free.”

The president also claimed Canada is having “a hard time … because, as you know with tariffs, everyone is coming into our country.”
