Trudeau government set to unveil federal budget Monday

The federal government is set to unveil a new fiscal blueprint for the country on Monday.
It’s expected to outline spending plans to get Canadians through the rest of the pandemic, including goals for a national childcare program.
Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland is also expected to deliver measures to boost the supply of affordable housing and protect the environment.
This is the government’s first budget in more than two years.
Since the Liberals no longer have a majority, they will need the support of at least one other major party in Parliament to stay in power.
The budget will be released at 4 p.m.
